New camera trials

My father sent me his camera that he used when he wanted to get into photography.  Lucky for me, he only used the camera for 400 pictures, so I decided to give it a go.  More pictures/adventures to come soon.

This picture was taken from the top of a hill on the outskirts of Denver.  The lighting was fun, even though the subject is just a dirty hill with a chain link fence.

Cooking and thrift store shopping

On a $2-4 dollar budget, one can easily make a delicious bowl of ramen with 4 simple ingredients.
-1 Package of Shin Ramen
-2 cups of water
-1 egg
-few leaves of bok choy
After boiling the ramen and spices for 3 1/2 minutes, add a beaten egg into the bowl for 1 minute.  Then add the leaves of bok choy and serve!  It will turn out to look something like this:

In terms of thrift store shopping, I visited the "Mile High Thrift Store" today in Denver.  The store was clean, very well organized, and I was able to get a fabulous sweater vest for $1.  Who could beat that?

Mexican Zoo

On my last trip to Mexico, my parents and I visited some friends in the publado.  There we were interrupted by a small car with a giant speaker on top, announcing the coming of the zoo to the publado.  Behind the car were several trucks with trailers attached showcasing the animals to be shown later in the grand mexican zoo.  This picture shows a zebra, miniature pony, and a buffalo all on one trailer.  Excellent experience.

An attempt at blogging

Thus begins my first attempt at a blog.  I will include my reviews of restaurants, hotels, and tourist adventures, but due to my lack of grammar, these posts will include lists, pictures, and several misplaced commas.  Enjoy!

Obviously, Fernando enjoys his UNC Chapel Hill hat.
